Mapping Global Research on Parenting in the Digital Era: A Bibliometric Analysis of Digital Parenting, Emotion Regulation, and Parental Stress

Abstract


This study analyzes global trends in research on parenting using a bibliometric approach with tools such as VOSviewer. The results of the study show that topics such as digital parenting, emotional regulation, and parental stress are the main issues in the parenting literature. The United States dominates the contribution of publications, while research in developing countries is still limited. The keyword network visualization identified a close relationship between digital parenting and emotional well-being, demonstrating the need for a cross-disciplinary approach in dealing with the challenges of the technological age. This study suggests the need for cross-cultural collaboration to address complex parenting dynamics, while providing practical recommendations to support adaptive parenting policies. Thus, this research provides not only a theoretical contribution, but also a practical guide in supporting the modern family.
