Management of Arabic Language Teacher Competency Improvement in Islamic Boarding Schools: Strategic Analysis of Learning Quality

Abstract


Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis manajemen peningkatan kompetensi guru bahasa Arab, dengan fokus pada strategi kelembagaan, kualitas pembelajaran, dan tantangan terhadap profesionalisme guru. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah pentingnya penguasaan bahasa Arab sebagai kunci untuk memahami Al-Qur'an, Hadits, dan literatur Islam, serta kebutuhan siswa untuk menghadapi tantangan global. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi partisipan, wawancara mendalam, dokumentasi kelembagaan, dan Diskusi Kelompok Terfokus (FGD), dan kemudian dianalisis menggunakan model interaktif Miles, Huberman, & Saldaña, yang melibatkan tahapan kondensasi data, penyajian data, dan verifikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi kelembagaan seperti MGMP, lokakarya, pelatihan, dan supervisi berkontribusi secara signifikan terhadap peningkatan kompetensi guru bahasa Arab. Peningkatan kompetensi guru berdampak langsung pada kualitas belajar siswa, sebagaimana dibuktikan oleh peningkatan partisipasi aktif, prestasi akademik yang lebih tinggi, dan interaksi kelas yang lebih bervariasi. Namun, studi ini juga mengidentifikasi tantangan yang berkelanjutan, termasuk terbatasnya akses terhadap literatur terkini, minimnya keterampilan digital, dan kesenjangan dalam praktik pedagogis. Implikasi dari studi ini menekankan pentingnya dukungan kelembagaan yang berkelanjutan dan integrasi teknologi dalam pengembangan profesional guru bahasa Arab di pesantren.
