Peer Review Process

Peer Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to NKRI: Networked Knowledge and Research in Informatics must comply with the focus and scope, author guidelines, and publication standards of the journal. Submitted manuscripts are expected to demonstrate scientific merit, originality, relevance, and novelty in accordance with the journal’s academic focus. Authors must ensure that their manuscripts are free from plagiarism and properly acknowledge all cited sources.

To maintain academic integrity, authors are strongly encouraged to use plagiarism detection tools before submission. The editorial team will also conduct similarity checks on every submitted manuscript using plagiarism detection software. Manuscripts that do not meet the journal’s similarity and ethical standards may be returned to the authors or rejected before entering the review process.

Research articles submitted to this journal will be reviewed by at least two qualified reviewers with relevant expertise in the manuscript’s subject area. The review process follows a Double-Blind Peer Review mechanism, in which the identities of both authors and reviewers are kept confidential. Reviewers provide constructive scientific comments, recommendations, and suggestions to improve the quality, clarity, accuracy, and contribution of the manuscript.

Based on the reviewers’ evaluation, manuscripts may be accepted, accepted with revisions, returned for major revisions, or rejected. When revision is requested, the corresponding author is expected to submit the revised manuscript within two weeks. Authors must carefully address all reviewer comments and provide clear responses to the revisions made.

The final decision regarding manuscript acceptance is made by the Editors based on the reviewers’ recommendations, the quality of the revision, and the manuscript’s suitability for publication. The editorial team is committed to providing a decision or an explanation for any delay within a reasonable period, generally within two months after submission.

As stated in the journal’s publication ethics, all manuscripts under review are treated as confidential documents before publication. The publication of accepted articles, including their order of appearance, is managed by the Editor in Chief by considering the acceptance date, thematic relevance, editorial priorities, and the diversity of author affiliations.
