Author Guidelines

The author that submits the manuscript to NJME: Nurul Jadid Journal of Mathematics and Its Education must follow these requirements:

  1. The manuscript should be original based on research or case studies, has novelty and scientific contributions, with a maximum length of 15 pages, and has never been published and is not under review for any other journals.
  2. Abstracts should be written in Indonesian and English with 150-250 words, respectively.
  3. Information can be presented in a table or figure for the convenience of the reader, but it is not recommended to present a table or picture that meets or exceeds one page.
  4. Reference should be verified and up to date (the last 10 years of publication, except for certain fields that have not undergone much renewal).
  5. Citation and reference style refer to IEEE Style.
  6. The author should use reference management tools, such as the reference manager in Microsoft Word or Mendeley.
  7. The manuscript should be prepared according to the following author guidelines and template. The template can be downloaded here.

Manuscript Structures

  1. Title. Use a concise and informative title in sentence case, with a maximum of 16 words.
  2. Affiliation.  Provide the affiliation of each author, including the department/faculty, the university, the city, and the country.
  3. Abstract. Should consist of a single paragraph of no more than 250 words. Provide the background and objective of the paper, its principal results, and its conclusions. Avoid using abbreviations and citations.
  4. Keywords. Include a maximum of six keywords or phrases, arranged alphabetically and separated using semicolons (;). Use specific, relevant terms that do not appear in the title, so that the article is easier to find in search engines. Do not use terms that are too general or too long.
  5. Introduction. At least presents the background or rationale for the research, state of the art, research objectives, and benefits of the research results. The research objectives must be written clearly and explicitly. The writing of the research objectives is preceded by an explanation of the importance of the research and the novelty of the research. The Introduction section must also be accompanied by references as a theoretical basis related to the problem being studied.
  6. Methods. Contains an explanation in the form of paragraphs about the research design, data sources, data collection techniques, data analysis carried out by the researcher, and other things related to the research method.
  7. Results and Discussion.  Research outcomes must be discussed in depth and related to various relevant previous theories or sources. Discussion of research outcomes must present the state of the art, where research outcomes are not only related to similar previous research results but the discussion must contribute new knowledge/insights to the appropriate research field. This sub-heading is expected to be the largest part of the entire article. Data should be presented as concisely as possible, and in the form of tables or figures if appropriate, although extensive tables should be avoided.
  8. Conclusions.  The study's main conclusions may be presented in a standalone Conclusions section or included as a subsection of the Discussion section.
  9. References. List all items alphabetically. Literature cited during the construction of the paper is included in the bibliography. For efficiency and conciseness, avoid using more than 30 references and less than 10, consisting of 70% journal references and 30% book references. Journal references should be at least 10 recent years, while book references. NJME uses an IEEE style (American Psychological Association) format.

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file used NJME's template format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  5. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

Authors whose manuscripts are published agree to the following conditions:

  1. Publication rights for all article materials submitted/published on  NJME: Nurul Jadid Journal of Mathematics and Its Education are held by the editorial board with the knowledge of the author (moral rights still belong to the manuscript author).
  2. Formal legal provisions for accessing digital articles of this electronic journal are subject to the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike (CC BY-SA) license, which means that NJME: Nurul Jadid Journal of Mathematics and Its Education has the right to save, transfer media/format, manage in the form of a database. data (database), maintain and publish articles without asking permission from the author as long as the author's name is stated as the copyright owner.
Manuscripts published/published in print and electronically are open access for education, research, and library purposes. Apart from these purposes, the editorial board is not responsible for violations of copyright laws.
