Abstract


Salah satu bukti kebangkitan sistem ekonomi islam pada era milenial ini adalah peningkatan sektor halal industry yang dimotori oleh halal tourism dengan capaian segmen pasar yang cukup besar, mengacu pada data GMTI. Walaupun secara teoritis masih menjadi perdebatan apakah halal tourism memiliki pondasi teoritis yang kuat. Namun prakteknya halal industry terus mengalami peningkatan. Perlu kajian yang lebih holistik dan detail berkaitan dengan formulasi teoritis dan proposisi-proposisi yang bersifat ontologis, sehingga halal tourism memiliki pijakan teoritis yang kuat.

Salah satu langkah yang ingin disuguhkan dalam paper ini adalah bagaimana pandangan maqashid al-syariah dalam terhadap praktek-praktek dalam bisnis jasa pariwisata terutama dikaitkan dengan urgensi dan relevansi sertifikasi halal pada produk-produk pariwisata berbasis ajaran Islam
