Journal of Digital Learning is an international, peer-reviewed scholarly journal committed to advancing research and critical inquiry in the fields of Digital Learning, Learning Sciences, Instructional Design, Educational Technology, and Digital Innovation. The journal provides an interdisciplinary platform for the dissemination of high-quality empirical, theoretical, and design-based studies that examine how digital technologies transform teaching, learning, assessment, and educational systems.
The journal aims to generate rigorous and impactful scholarship that deepens understanding of the pedagogical, technological, and socio-cultural dimensions of digital education. It particularly emphasizes research that bridges theory and practice, supports evidence-based innovation, and contributes to the sustainable integration of digital technologies in diverse educational contexts.
Areas of interest include, but are not limited to, digital learning models (online, blended, and hybrid learning), instructional design and digital pedagogy, development and evaluation of educational technologies, learner experience and human–technology interaction, digital assessment and learning analytics, emerging and immersive technologies, digital literacy and professional development, as well as issues of policy, ethics, inclusivity, and institutional transformation in education.
The journal welcomes contributions from researchers, educators, instructional designers, policymakers, and graduate scholars who are engaged in advancing knowledge and practice in digital learning. By fostering interdisciplinary dialogue and methodological rigor, the Journal of Digital Learning seeks to contribute meaningfully to global discussions on educational innovation in the digital era.
