The Effect of Web-Based Puzzle Media on Enhancing Arabic Reading Comprehension Among Students at Madrasah Tsanawiyah

Abstract

This study aims to test the effect of using web-based Puzzle media on improving Arabic reading comprehension of class VIII students of MTs Nurul Ikhsan Cirebon. Puzzle media is designed to increase student involvement in learning Arabic interactively and enjoyably. This study uses an experimental method with a one group pretest posttest design. The application of this media is recommended as one of the innovations in Arabic language learning to significantly improve students' reading skills. This study contributes to the development of technology- based learning media that supports the teaching and learning process in the digital era. The results of data analysis show a significant effect of using web-based Puzzle media on students' Arabic reading comprehension. Based on the results of the t-test, the calculated t value was 14.9> t table of 2.084 at a significance level of 0.05. Then there is a difference after being given treatment of 35.33 which was previously 43.84 to 79.17. This indicates that the application of this media can effectively improve students' reading comprehension.
