An Analytical Study of The Content of The Arabic Textbook for Students at the State Islamic High School by Categories of Analysis by Rushdi Ahmad Taima

Abstract

There is no doubt that the textbook is a basic source in the educational process. However, it is noted that the Arabic book for students has flaws that need to be improved. Therefore, the researcher analyzed the content of the Arabic book for students for the twelfth grade at the State Islamic High School 1 Lamongan according to the categories of analysis of Rushdi Ahmad Taima, because its categories are broader than other categories. The problem of this research is: How is the content of the Arabic book for students for the twelfth grade at the State Islamic High School 1 Lamongan? And to what extent is the content of the Arabic book for students for the twelfth grade at the State Islamic High School 1 Lamongan appropriate to the categories of analysis of Rushdi Ahmad Taima? The method used by the researcher is qualitative research, while the data collection method used by the researcher is observation, interview and documents. As for the results of the research, it can be summarized as follows: The contents of the Arabic book for students include the introduction by the author, a list of vocabulary, and educational materials consisting of five topics, each topic has four lessons: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. The suitability of this book to the categories of analysis of Rushdi Ahmad Taima is very appropriate. This is shown in the aspect of analysis categories since general data, output, nature of the course, etc. As for the aspects that were not met in the educational material in the Arabic textbook for students of the twelfth grade at the State Islamic Senior High School 1 Lamongan, such as: teacher's guide, assessment, and radio sound.
