All manuscripts submitted to CODEX: Journal of Software Engineering undergo a rigorous peer review process to ensure the quality and originality of published articles.
Each manuscript is first evaluated by the editorial team to ensure its suitability with the journal’s focus and scope and compliance with the author guidelines. Manuscripts that meet these requirements will proceed to the review stage.
The journal applies a double-blind peer review process in which the identities of both authors and reviewers are kept confidential. Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two independent reviewers with expertise in the relevant field.
Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on originality, scientific contribution, clarity of objectives, methodological rigor, validity of results, quality of discussion, and relevance to software engineering. Reviewers provide comments and recommendations to assist the editor in making a decision.
Based on the reviewers’ evaluations, the editor will make one of the following decisions: accept without revision, accept with minor revisions, major revisions required, or reject. Authors are required to revise their manuscripts in accordance with the reviewers’ comments within the specified time.
The peer review process is conducted professionally, objectively, and confidentially to maintain the integrity and quality of the journal.
