AbstractThis research aims to find out the forms of difficulties faced by students and teachers in teaching and learning Arabic speaking skills. This research is a qualitative descriptive research with a method of collecting data through observation, interviews, documentation, and the researcher's direct involvement in the process of teaching and learning Arabic speaking skills. The data obtained were analyzed through descriptive analysis, which is an analysis that aims to depict the conditions, incidents, and documents related to the research title. This research has obtained an overview of what is the focus of the research, which are the problems faced by teachers: (1) Problems in organizing students who have different abilities in the Arabic language due to differences in educational background. (2) Low motivation of students to learn. (3) Problems in explaining the pronunciation of letters that do not have equivalents in the alphabet. (4) Problems in explaining grammar and morphology that do not have anything in common with the structure of the Indonesian language. While the problems faced by students are (1) Problems in constructing good and correct sentences when speaking or speaking. (2) Fear of making mistakes when speaking or speaking. (3) Harsh and incomprehensible speech. (1) Problems in directly translating the interlocutor's expressions due to lack of vocabulary.
