JUMPA: Jurnal Manajemen Pendidikan requires all parties involved in the publication process, namely authors, reviewers, and editors, to disclose any conflict of interest that could influence, or appear to influence, their judgment. A conflict of interest exists when financial, professional, institutional, or personal relationships may affect the objectivity of the work.
Authors
Authors must declare all potential conflicts of interest in a Declaration of Conflicting Interests statement in the manuscript. Examples include research grants, honoraria, employment, consultancies, institutional affiliations, and personal relationships related to the subject of the research. All sources of funding must be stated, including the grant number where available. If there is no conflict, authors should write: "The authors declare no conflict of interest."
Reviewers
Reviewers must decline the review invitation, or inform the editor immediately, if they have a competitive, collaborative, or other relationship with the authors or institutions connected to the manuscript, or if they believe they cannot give an objective assessment. Reviewers must not use unpublished information from a manuscript for their own benefit.
Editors
Editors will not handle manuscripts in which they have a conflict of interest. Manuscripts submitted by members of the Editorial Team, or by authors from the same unit, are handled by another editor who has no conflict, and the submitting editor is fully excluded from the review process and the decision.
Handling of Undisclosed Conflicts
If an undisclosed conflict of interest is identified before or after publication, the journal will follow the COPE guidance. Depending on the case, the journal may request clarification, publish a correction, or retract the article.
