JUMPA: Jurnal Manajemen Pendidikan is committed to maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the scholarly record. Once an article is published, it is considered final and will not be altered silently. When an error or ethical problem is identified, the journal handles it transparently in line with the COPE Retraction Guidelines.
Corrections
A correction is issued when a published article remains reliable overall but contains an error that needs to be fixed. Corrections are published as a separate notice that is linked to the original article.
- Erratum (Publisher Correction): corrects an error introduced by the journal during production, such as layout, typesetting, or metadata errors.
- Corrigendum (Author Correction): corrects a significant error made by the authors, including errors in authorship or affiliation, that does not invalidate the main findings.
- Addendum: adds information that clarifies the article without changing its main conclusions.
Retractions
An article may be retracted when:
- there is clear evidence that the findings are unreliable, either because of misconduct (data fabrication or falsification) or a serious honest error;
- the article involves plagiarism or duplicate publication without proper disclosure;
- the article reports unethical research or involves serious breaches of authorship or peer-review standards.
A retraction notice titled "Retraction: [article title]" is published in the next available issue and on the article page. The notice states the reason for the retraction and who requested it. The original article remains accessible, but every page is marked as "RETRACTED".
Expression of Concern
When there is an unresolved concern about an article, for example during an ongoing investigation, the editor may publish an expression of concern to inform readers until the matter is settled.
Article Removal
In very rare cases, an article may be removed when it is defamatory, infringes legal rights, is subject to a court order, or poses a serious risk. In such cases, the metadata remain available together with a notice explaining the removal.
Procedure
